D1- Justify the choice of content and the repurposed formats

While studying at Doncaster UTC, I have had to repurpose many forms of content that I created. For example, I have needed to export Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign files into PDF files so that they can be saved as images. This will help me display my work on a portfolio which can be sent to an employer so they can see my creative skills. The same can be said for my short film for unit 5. While edited in Adobe Premier Pro, it was exported as a MP4 file therefore eligible to be uploaded onto YouTube. I will then add the link to my portfolio and my employer can watch the short film I created. By repurposing content, it makes my employers and my life much easier as I can just show them my work on a portfolio rather than them having to download certain softwares just to see what I have created.

This is the link to my unit 5 short film.

As well as repurposing the actual product produced in the unit I also had to plan for the project before hand. Examples of these pre-production documents are Sitemaps and wireframes for unit 4 and 26, Visualisation diagrams for unit 4 and unit 3 and also scripts for unit 5 and unit 14. All of these documents had to be repurposed so I could display onto Blogger. This showcases my ability to plan for a project and also my time management skills as planning is an important part of creating a product.
