P4- Identify and repurpose

During my time studying digital media at school and college I have made many digital products that are multiple file types. The reasons I would export my products as different file types is because it would make it easier or send my work to employers to prove that I am capable of work at the standard of the industry. 

When making my magazine, I used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign to make my pages and I exported them as PDF file so they can be sent to to employers via email. If it was still in photoshop format then when they go to access it from emails, they will need Photoshop installed on their device to view my work which is impractical. Also, because it is a PDF file, it will make it easier to add onto my portfolio website. If it remained in a Photoshop format then I would not be able to add it to my portfolio. 

After finishing the short film I completed with my group in Adobe Premier Pro, I the exported the file as a MP4 file so that it could be opened by my employer when I send to them via email. If we did not export the file, then when we sent it to employers, it would not open unless Adobe Premier Pro is installed. We also uploaded the short film onto YouTube so that it can easily accessible for employers whenever given that the video is set to public. 

I also did a radio show for unit 14 where we imported the sounds into Adobe Premier Pro and pulled the radio show together. For the radio show, we made content such as a jingle, radio advert and the actual show here we discussed Doncaster Rovers decision. To plan the show, we made a script and asset log so we know what we would be used in our radio show. The script gave us a guideline of what to say when recording as since it is radio show, you are not meant to follow the script directly you need to make it sound like a conversation. When exporting the final radio show, it was exported as a MP4 so the sound could put onto YouTube for people to listen to. 

In conclusion, when making my products I had to export them into different file formats so that my employer can access them and see my creative skills. This will enhance my chances of the getting the job I want as my employer will be able to see the work that I have done.
